about usThe Willamette Valley chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) is an official chapter of NAVHDA International. It is our goal to provide a welcoming and fun training environment with the intent of helping our members fully realize the potential of their versatile hunting dogs as companions and hunting partners. We offer and conduct official NAVHDA tests held annually in May and August as a means to determine how the dog is progressing in training and how it measures against the NAVHDA International standards. |
VolunteerVolunteering not only helps the chapter, it also gives you the opportunity to learn along the way. You will meet other experienced chapter members and by watching other dogs in the field you can pick up valuable observations about dog behavior and get tips on handling skills. | TrainingThe ultimate goal is for dog and handler to function as a team when hunting and to enjoy being together whatever the activity. Training sessions are also a great place to meet other members with common training goals who might join you in future dog training activities. | Testing
NAVHDA provides an accurate, complete performance evaluation on each dog tested. Valid, meaningful testing and evaluations for versatile hunting dogs are conducted in the correct environment, and test the qualities of a good versatile, productive hunting dog. |
